Not sure why root canals have such a scary reputation. Dr. Kenee has done two for me. Neither was any more traumatic than a routine filling. Dr. Kenee and his staff were very professional. Highly recommended.

Very unprofessional and suspicious. First of all, one the front office staff and the assistant acted like we were a bother to just sign in or ask questions. That’s just the beginning. After this, I wanted to go back with my wife and I was told I couldn’t because of X-rays. I can understand this. People could get harmful radiation and sue. I was told I would be brought in after the consultation, but what the assistant said didn’t sink in until I was waiting in the waiting room. As time passed, I asked to go back and I was told I could not go back to the room after the X-rays. I told them I wanted to be part of the consultation and was told it was the policy of Dr. McKearney not to allow family of patients in the room with the patient, even parents in with children. Finally, they let me back with my wife, begrudgingly. As we walked down the hall to the room, I told the assistant that this was unusual and suspicious and she said, “No it’s not.” I told her I have been in many doctor offices and this WAS unusual. The doctor seemed nervous, defensive, and evasive as the consultation continued. At the end I asked about this personal policy and he was again defensive and evasive, noting that a nurse is always in the room. (This is not a defense as a nurse could be threatened into not telling what she saw or told to go get something). All the staff seemed weird and I would not be surprised if shady inappropriate things are happening there. In the very least this Dr is opening himself to allegations of sexual or physical misconduct. Beware! Do not go here!

The need for a root canal is always unpleasant. But if I needed another I would definitely choose Dr Kenee. And it’s worth the drive!
